Some thoughts of late...
1. Two entries on gluttony, both from a food and financial perspective, challenging our readers to react...and very little reaction.
2. Auburn could have a very good season, but they better learn how to defend the pass.
3. Fantasy football is awesome...but crazy. Our home team is the Bucs, so we root for them. But today I found myself wanting them to get behind because I started Michael Clayton (the Bucs' receiver) and wanted them to play from behind so he could catch more...that doesn't seem right.
4. Our local high school football team went to Ohio and beat their best Saturday...it's cool and all, but seems wrong on several levels.
5. Seeing lots of tatoos lately...not sure what the allure is to getting this done...and where does one draw the line in what's enough...seems a slippery slope from a shamrock on the ankle to a dowel through your earlobe?
2 Comments:
On Gluttony: Doesn't matter what perspective it came from, gluttony is sin. There's really not much to comment on.
On Auburn: If you're talking about that last drive...they were giving them everything to the 20. I'm more concerned that they can't tackle. If they tackle that reciever on the previous play the game's over...but they let him get out of bounds.
Fantasy football: The reason I quit is that I started caring more about the performance of players in the games rather than the outcome of the games themselves.
High school football: Here in Texas, you could get shot for asking that question.
Tattoos: Not sure why a line needs to be drawn at all between the shamrock and the dowel.

On Auburn...They gave up big plays all game long but for some reason LSU was committed to the run until the end...kind of like the Redskins last night, except Joe Gibbs has no faith in Brunnel (rightfully so)...but LSU's QB is nails.
